Building Hi-Performance Teams

		The PTC Management Team, composed of officers and managers representing different departments of the PTC Group of Companies, engaged in a series of strategic planning sessions aimed at aligning the various companies and their key personnel. Under the facilitation of renowned experts in the field of high-impact training and organizational development, a reinvigorated PTC team reinforced its commitment to maintain the company’s position of leadership in the Philippine maritime industry, promote the highest level of performance, further enhance its service to Principals and seafarers, and operate at an optimum level of efficiency. Separately, the PTC team engaged in a planning workshop to lay the groundwork for the initial phases of an institutionalized company-wide CSR program. As the second half of 2008 unfolds, PTC looks forward to the implementation of various CSR initiatives intended to expand the company’s social responsibility to its people and to the community. The NMM staff at PTC had a teambuilding of its own last April 12, 2008, at Plantation Bay, Mactan, Cebu. Divided into two groups, the NMM staff engaged in physically, socially and intellectually challenging exercises. Although competition was encouraged between the two groups, goodwill and harmony was cemented among the entire staff resulting at the end, in one united Team.
