Naming and Delivery of MV Senorita

On March 28, 2008, Carla Limcaoco and Capt. Honorio Casalme attended the christening of the latest addition to Ugland Shipping’s fleet of modern bulk carriers in a ceremony held at the Tsuneishi shipyard in Cebu. Other esteemed guests flew to Cebu to attend this special occasion, among whom were the families of the Filipino officers appointed to man the vessel, Capt. Fernando Dimacuha and C/E Napoleon Buenaventura. Both officers have been sailing with the Ugland Company for 12 and 20 years, respectively. Due to their outstanding performance over the years, they were given the honor and rare privilege of commanding the
MV Senorita’s maiden voyage. With Capt. Dimacuha and C/E Buenaventura at the helm, the all-Filipino crew successfully completed the MV Senorita’s maiden voyage to Tubay in Agusan del Norte en route to Tienjin, China after loading nickel ore at the Mindanao port.

For both marine officers, this honor will certainly be a defining moment in their seafaring careers.
