The PTC RISE Program team successfully conducted a Youth Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Activity for members of Action Kabataang Imuseño (AKI) in partnership with the Imus City Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) on November 27, 2025, at the Imus City Children and Youth Center. The activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge and readiness of young community leaders in responding to hazards and emergencies.

Program Manager Hector Brizuela of PTC Talent Acquisition led the Youth Disaster Preparedness Lecture, emphasizing the important role of young people in building safer, more resilient communities. His session empowered participants with practical knowledge on how they can contribute to disaster preparedness efforts both at home and within their communities.

Training Specialists Jhun Servano and Carl Palicos of CORE Resilience Consultancy Inc. facilitated the Basic First Aid Training, equipping the youth with essential skills to prevent injuries from worsening during emergencies. Participants practiced proper first aid techniques and gained confidence in providing immediate care when needed.

To cap the activity, PTC Talent Acquisition Group Lead Program Officer Josh McCarver, together with Chloe Balmaceda and Crystal Lopez, hosted the RISE Master of Disaster (MOD) Board Game session. Through interactive gameplay, participants deepened their understanding of disaster preparedness and response while fostering teamwork and enthusiasm for community resilience.

PTC extends its appreciation to the City Government of Imus under the leadership of Mayor Alex Advincula, and to the Imus City LYDO led by Jericho Reyes, for inviting the RISE Program to empower the city’s youth champions. PTC remains committed to supporting initiatives that build resilient communities and strengthen the next generation of leaders.
