On June 18, 2025, the PTC Talent Acquisition Group (TAG) held a productive online meeting with representatives from Mariners’ Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) – Legazpi and Canaman campuses in Bicol. The session marked a meaningful step forward in their partnership, which began in 2024, and aims to enhance the educational and career development of future maritime professionals.

The meeting focused on aligning scheduled campus events where PTC could actively participate, as well as exploring new collaborative initiatives to enrich student learning. Key programs include the PTC Masterclass, where cadets will gain insights into the maritime industry and life at sea from PTC Global Maritime Professionals, and a Career Talk for non-maritime students, introducing land- and air-based career paths within The PTC Group.

Other initiatives include the PTC RISE for Safe Schools program, which promotes disaster preparedness and safety awareness, and the PTC Sea Mariners Program, which aims to develop leadership, discipline, and global awareness among young maritime students. Together, these efforts reflect a shared commitment to producing well-rounded, industry-ready graduates.

The growing collaboration between PTC and MPCF continues to shape a more dynamic and holistic learning environment—one that prioritizes not only academic excellence but also personal and professional growth. By working together, both institutions are helping to build the next generation of maritime leaders equipped to navigate the challenges and opportunities of an evolving global industry.
