Jebsen PTC crew on board MV IRIS PAOAY, successfully rescued a stranded fisherman off the coast of Pucio Point on March 21, 2025.

The vessel’s crew spotted Mr. Jun R. Dabban clinging to his partially sunken boat, waving a green flag for help. Capt. Steve Hansen immediately took command, initiating rescue procedures despite rough seas and strong winds.

Once safely aboard, the fisherman was assessed with no physical injuries sustained. He was able to contact his wife, Jonalyn Dabban, to reassure her of his safety.

MV IRIS PAOAY resumed its voyage to Manila, where Mr. Dabban would be handed over to the Philippine Coast Guard for further assistance and a medical check-up.
