PHILCAMSAT proudly participated in Kongsberg Maritime Simulation’s SimConnect 2025 conference held on November 14 at the City of Dreams Manila, represented by C/E Alfredo Haboc, QA and Program Director, and C/E Mark Phillip R. Laurilla, Training Manager. Anchored on the theme “NextGen Learning,” the event brought together maritime executives, educators, and trainers to explore innovative approaches to simulation-based training and the evolving demands of the global maritime industry.

The conference featured insights from three influential women leaders shaping the future of maritime education and operations: Wenche Andersen, Managing Director of Kongsberg Maritime; Mary Ann Pastrana, Chairperson of FastCat; and Presca Lee Lugo of MARINA, serving as the agency’s Maritime Education and Training Standards Supervisor (METSS). Their discussions highlighted the critical role of advanced simulation technologies, inclusive leadership, and forward-thinking training methodologies in preparing today’s seafarers for tomorrow’s challenges.
